Domperidone/Motilium: A Commentary If there were no other regulating factors, there would be no need for special inducing techniques, or galactagogues like Domperidone. A woman would be able to lactate and breast feed anytime her breasts were suckled correctly. However as we know, inducing lactation is not always that easy. The regulating factor that sometimes makes inducing lactation difficult is the Brain. Particularly the subconscious portion of the Brain. Stress, self doubt, misinformation: all can cause subconscious obstacles, inhibiting letdown and lactation. While most women can induce lactation without Domperidone, some need a boost! While Domperidone is not the panacea, it can give the boost some women need to overcome an obstacle blocking her efforts to induce lactation. ~End~
